A beautiful boat trip through the vast North Holland landscape to the Fort at Marken-Binnen.
During the cruise you will be completely taken care of with a delicious soup with a luxurious sandwich lunch* and apple pie with whipped cream and 2 times coffee & tea. After a short walk from the ship to the fort (300m), the guides will give you an interesting tour of ‘their’ fort followed by a treasure hunt in and around the fort or other activity. In short, an experience you will never forget.
Fort Marken-Binnen was once part of the ‘Defence of Amsterdam’.
The special thing about this fort is that there is a lot to do. For example, this cruise includes a tour and treasure hunt as standard, and for an additional charge (instead of the treasure hunt), you can play laser tag, put out a fire like a real firefighter, take a pub quiz or try to escape from the fort. through an escape room! From 11.45 am: embarkation – You will be welcomed on board the Amalia in Alkmaar with coffee, tea or lemonade.
12.00: Departure from Alkmaar. Our hostess serves coffee or tea.
12.30 pm: Ship’s lunch with 2 tasty sandwiches and a cup of soup with coffee or tea.
1.30 pm: Arrival at the quay of Fort Marken-Binnen. From here we take a nice walk with guides through the beautiful open landscape to the Fort (approx. 800 m)
2 p.m.: Start tour of Fort Marken-Binnen
4:00 PM: Departure from Marken-Binnen towards Alkmaar. We serve tea, coffee with apple pie (with whipped cream) and/or a drink*
5.30 pm: Arrival in Alkmaar

Fort bij Spijkerboor is a fortress of Stelling van Amsterdam. It is located on the Westdijk of the Beemster, near Spijkerboor in the Dutch province of Noord-Holland between Krommenie, Castricum, Alkmaar and Purmerend, between the A7, A8 and A9 motorways.
Description
Fort near Markenbinnen was constructed to defend the Markervaart with the road running along it, the eastern bank of the Westwouderpolder and the two banks of the Stierop.
With the completion of the bomb-proof building, the fort was completed in 1905. The engineering shed at the fort was demolished around 1940, but a new building was installed in 2007 according to the original construction drawings.
Just east of the fort is a secondary battery: an earthen wall dating from 1906 with concrete positions for artillery.
